Alice Dixson explains why she revealed her eldest daughter Sassa after a decade

Alice Dixson recently shocked the world when she revealed that she was actually a mother of two.

On Mother's Day, the actress introduced her eldest daughter Sassa, who she said came into her life as a teenager "at least 10 years ago."

While Sassa is not her biological daughter, she loves her all the same.

In an interview on "Updated with Nelson Canlas," Alice said Sassa has always been in the background — present in her social media pictures, even accompanying her to GMA for work.

"Everybody knows na nandiyan siya but I didn't really introduce her ... And then bakit ko siya biglang inintroduce nitong Mother's Day? Well, it's because and this is the real reason: last year, no'ng nagbanggit ako ng na I'm now a new mother, my baby had arrived, na-realize ko na teka muna kahit papaano naging mother din naman ako, hindi si Aura ang first ko. So I wanted just to acknowledge," she said.

In May 2021, Alice introduced her baby Aura, who she welcomed through surrogacy. She previously spoke about having difficulty in conceiving.

She said that when people were greeting her a Happy Mother's Day last year, she realized it wasn't actually her first experience being a mom.

"I don't wanna forget about Sassa," she said. "That's why this all came about. So hindi ko siya biological daughter, pero mahal ko pa rin siya all the same." —JCB, GMA News
