Luane Dy says Carlo Gonzales' mysterious ways were 'sobrang effective'

Luane Dy and Carlo Gonzales looked back on their love story ahead of their second wedding.

In an interview on “Surprise Guest with Pia Arcangel,” the two revealed that they had first met at a mutual friend’s party.

The longtime couple was asked about their first impressions of each other.

Luane first thought Carlo was “masungit, suplado,” adding he might be the quiet type.

“Nasa isang sulok lang siya tas may dala lang siyang libro. Wala siyang ibang kakausapin magbabasa lang siya. 'Bahala kayo sa buhay niyo diyan,' ganun siya,” she added.

But according to Carlo, it was a way for him to look mysterious.

“Pa-effect lang pala,” Luane said. “Kapag tinanong mo pala sa kaniya, ‘ano yung binabasa mo?’ [Sagot niya,] “um, hindi ko rin alam eh,” she added with a laugh.

"Balikatad pala yung libro. Oh diba," Carlo ribbed them.

When Pia noted "gumana naman," Luane admitted Carlo's mysterious ways were "sobrang effective."

On the other hand, the “Voltes V: Legacy” actor said he saw how bubbly the “Unang Hirit” host is.

“Nung first time I met her, [parang] bubbly personality tapos a little bit loud, ganun,” he said.

Carlo added that Luane’s liveliness will grow on you, “which it did, in my case.”

Last January, the couple posed for their cool prenup photos in leather jackets and a motorcycle.

Carlo and Luane got engaged in 2019 at Disneyland and welcomed baby boy Christiano in 2020.

In the podcast, they shared they have been married civilly for three years.
