Michelle Madrigal reflects on parenting: 'I believe in providing guidance without tying their worth to achievements

Michelle Madrigal said being a mom to her daughter, Anika, has redefined her point of view on parenting.

On Instagram, the US-based former actress said she has come to embrace "conscious parenting," prioritizing Anika's well-being more than anything.

"Coming from a different era, I had to learn the art of gentle parenting, aiming to create a deep bond with my daughter," Michelle said,

"I feel incredibly blessed that she confides in me without hesitation," she added.

Michelle also said her goal for Annika and her future children is to "encourage a safe and nurturing environment."

"I believe in providing guidance without tying their worth to achievements, whether it's in sports or any other pursuit," she said.

She ended her post by acknowledging that "parenting is complex."

"It's about striking a balance between guidance and letting them explore," she said.

"It truly takes a community filled with love, empathy, and patience to raise kind-hearted, respectful children," she ended.

Anika is Michelle's daughter with her ex-husband, Troy Woolfolk.

In December, Michelle bravely and proudly revealed she was a survivor of child sexual abuse.
