Kate Valdez attends her first Japanese festival with Fumiya Sankai

Kate Valdez just attended her first-ever Japanese festival!

On Instagram, the Sparkle star shared some snaps of herself with her boyfriend, Japanese vlogger Fumiya Sankai, at a Japanese festival in Kanagawa.

In the photos, Kate and Fumiya were dressed in lovely yukatas as they enjoyed some food and watched a fireworks show.

"My first Matsuri," Kate said, which means "festival" in Japanese.

The two sparked dating rumors in August 2024 after they spent Kate's birthday in Hong Kong Disneyland.

Kate and Fumiya welcomed 2025 in Taiwan and then headed to Japan, where they did a kimono-themed photoshoot and went strawberry picking .

In March, Kate told Fumiya, " My world is better because you exist ."
