Ryan Bang and Paola Huyong: A relationship timeline

Ryan Bang and Paola Huyong have officially called it quits, after more than two years together.

On Vice Ganda’s latest vlog episode released over the weekend, Ryan confirmed their split after being the subject of breakup rumors since late 2025.

According to the Korean host of "It's Showtime," the breakup was because of cultural differences.

"Magkaiba pala 'yung paniniwala, magkaiba pala 'yung gawi, tsaka magkaiba pala thinking lalo na pagdating sa marriage," Ryan said.

May 2023: First meeting

In a now-deleted YouTube vlog, Ryan revealed he first met Paola in May 2023 during a football game. He later shared that their first date took place at Vice Ganda’s concert a month after they met.

August 2023: “Forever Filipina”

During an August 2023 episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Ryan expressed his intention to stay in the Philippines for good.

He also said he was ready to settle down and spend his life with his “forever Filipina,” whom he didn't name and was still courting at the time.

October 2023: Hong Kong tip

In October 2023, Paola joined the “It’s Showtime” hosts on a trip to Hong Kong after the noontime show received a 12-day suspension from the MTRCB.

November 2023: Relationship confirmed

Ryan publicly confirmed his relationship with Paola during a November 2023 episode of “It’s Showtime.”

“Naniniwala na po ako, Madlang People, ‘pag nakita mo ‘the one,’ talaga alam mo na, talaga may spotlight, may slow-mo,” Ryan said back then.

June 2024: Engagement and meeting the parents

In June 2024, Paola’s family met Ryan’s parents in South Korea.

Later that month, Ryan proposed to Paola at a cafe in Quezon City, and the couple announced their engagement.

April 2025: Double date

Ten months after their engagement, Ryan and Paola went on a double date with Vice Ganda and Ion Perez to watch a volleyball game in April 2025.

On Instagram where, Ryan shared a group photo, he used the hashtag, #FirstDoubleDate.

September 2025: Breakup speculation

More than a year after getting engaged, Ryan and Paola became the subject of breakup rumors after Paola deleted their engagement photos from her Instagram account in September 2025.

November 2025: Ryan spotted at Paoloa’s pop-up booth

Amid speculations about their relationship, Ryan was seen supporting Paola at her Siesta Horchata pop-up booth in Escolta, Manila in November 2025.

June 2026: Breakup confirmation

Ryan broke his silence and confirmed his breakup with Paola in Vice Ganda’s latest vlog titled “Mga Naka Naka Kong Broken, Nagsalita Na!"

In the vlog, Ryan denied allegations that he cheated on Paola. However, he acknowledged that he also had shortcomings and made mistakes during their relationship. Ultimately, he said their breakup stemmed from cultural differences. — LA, GMA News
