Megan Young celebrates 30th birthday with a very simple, very Pinoy lunch with Mikael Daez

Megan Young celebrated her 30th birthday the same way she tied the knot with Mikael Daez: in the most intimate and low-key of ways.

On Instagram, the beauty queen and actress shared photos of her simple lunch with Mikael in Gubat in Quezon City, where you eat your food Pinoy style — that is, using nothing but your hands.

She wrote, "Happy birthday to me. Decided to have birthday lunch with Fofo in one of our favorite restaurants - Gubat. You'll find them in the UP Campus at the Diliman Bonsai Society. What I love about this place is that there are no utensils - magkakamay ka lang."

Megan gushed that aside from the adobo, fish and lechon kawali, the buro side dish was to die for.

"Thank you to all the lovely ladies of Gubat who always have such a bright aura and who bring happiness to everyone that enjoys their meal at the restaurant. They made my day extra happy! #30 PS. Thank you so much for all the birthday greetings!!!!" she added.

Megan and Mikael tied the knot twice earlier this year — first in an intimate ceremony on January 10 at Caleruega Church, Batangas followed by a grander wedding in Subic on January 25.

The Kapuso couple has since revealed that they've been engaged since 2014. They've been together for eight years before they got married.
