Ate Gay starts food business after closure of Zirkoh, Klownz

Ate Gay went from "Walang Himala!" to "Siomai-Himala!" real quick after setting up a food business amid the community quarantine.

According to Cata Tibayan's report for "24 Oras," Ate Gay is one of the comedians left jobless following the closure of Klownz and Zirkoh.

With show business opportunities also scarce due to the coronavirus pandemic, she decided to open a siomai stall to earn some income and serve good vibes.

"Ang hirap-hirap ng buhay ngayon pero ang mga Pinoy ang hilig-hilig sa pagkain," she said.

Ate Gay mans the stall herself and even sings for her customers to keep spirits up despite the health crisis.

"Ang mapapayo ko lang sa kanila, aliwin natin ang ating mga sarili, aliwin natin sa pamamagitan kung ano mang talento meron tayo," she said.

"Kagaya niyan ang talento ko pagluluto sa ngayon. Malay n'yo mas magaling kayong magluto," she added.

Other celebrities who recently turned to food business include comedian Gladys Guevarra, rapper Gloc-9, and Andrea Torres—MGP, GMA News
