Jung Il Woo cooks kaldereta, sinigang for Sandara Park

Sandara Park recently enjoyed some of her favorite Pinoy dishes in South Korea, thanks to  her good friend Jung Il Woo.

The handsome Korean actor, who has starred in hit K-dramas like “Moon Embracing the Sun” and “The Return of Iljimae,” just posted a vlog where he personally cooked Filipino food for the former 2NE1 member.

According to Il Woo, he and Dara have known each other for several years, so he thought of learning how to cook Pinoy dishes for her as a treat.

“I’ll be cooking some Filipino foods for Dara. I’ve actually never been to the Philippines before. I’ve never been there, but I tried my best to search information on YouTube. I also looked everywhere up for the favorite Filipino menus of Dara,” Il Woo said.

The actor whipped up some beef kaldereta and seafood sinigang, which happens to be Dara’s favorite.

“Sinigang is my favorite. It’s my favorite menu out of all Filipino foods and I never had my meals without it!” She said.

“Ever since I started YouTube, I feel so energized nowadays. I try to initiate something with passion. It also feels great to create something with my crew, who is like my family,” Il-woo said.

“I’m also thankful that a good friend of mine came to support my channel like this,” he added.

Sandara Park joined a talent competition in the Philippines before becoming a member of the popular K-pop girl group 2NE1.

She and Jung Il Woo have worked together in the 2009 drama “The Return of Iljimae.”

Il Woo is also known for his roles in “Moon Embracing the Sun,” 49 Days,” “Cool Guys,” “Hot Ramen,” and more. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
