This Chinese New Year, why not try serving tikoy in a fancy way?

In Monday’s episode of “Good News” with Vicky Morales, they shared some recipes that will put a new twist to the Chinese New Year staple.

Tikoy-yaki

Filled with Asian flavors, this recipe will surely satisfy your Chinese and Japanese cravings all at once.

Ingredients:

Nori
Bread crumbs
Japanese mayonnaise
Bonito flakes
Egg
Takoyaki sauce
Flour
Tikoy

Procedure:

Slice the tikoy into cubes.
Dredge it in flour, egg, and bread crumbs.
Deep fry until golden brown.
Once plated, top with takoyaki sauce, Japanese mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and nori.

Luncheon meat-filled tikoy

Looking for a new twist to your usual luncheon meat breakfast? This is a must try.

Ingredients:

Tikoy
Flour
Egg
Bread crumbs
Luncheon meat

Procedure:

Slice tikoy and luncheon meat into strips.
Put luncheon meat in the middle of two tikoy strips.
Put toothpicks to keep it in place.
Coat with flour, egg, and bread crumbs.
Deep fry until golden brown.
Remove toothpicks, plate and serve with ketchup.

Chocolate tikoy

Lumpia, tikoy, and chocolate in one? Count us in!

Ingredients:

Tikoy
Lumpia wrapper
Chocolate chips

Procedure:

Wrap tikoy strips and chocolate chips with a lumpia wrapper.
Deep fry until golden brown.
Plate and top with powdered sugar or chocolate syrup.
