Pagadian City festival features striped and polka-dotted lechon

After Cebu chefs caught people's attention with black and green lechon, Pagadian City in Zamboanga del Sur has thought of a way to feature new twists to the party favorite.

According to Pia Arcangel’s “24 Oras Weekend” report on Sunday, the city held its first ever Lechon Festival last Friday.

Included among the roasted pigs were polka-dotted lechon, tiger-like lechon which has mesmerizing stripes, and a zebra one which had shrimp for "hair."

Of course, they wouldn’t dare to miss the classic and original flavor which never fails.

The municipality said although the festival served as an attraction, they made sure to follow all the safety and health protocols set by the government. — Franchesca Viernes/BM/KG, GMA News
