Mendokoro Ramenba refreshes menu with new vegan ramen selections

Ramen can be vegan, too!

Celebrated ramen joint Mendokoro Ramenba has introduced four new additions to its menu, a variety of plant-based ramen options replicating its existing well-loved bowls.

“The same ramen flavors you’ve loved, now meat-free,” Mendokoro announced on Instagram.

Kicking off the vegan specials is Vegan Shio, which has a soy broth topped with binchotan-grilled vegan meat drizzled with truffle oil.

Next is the Vegan Shoyu, which features binchotan-grilled vegan meat, chili paste, and drizzled with garlic oil.

For spicy lovers, the Vegan Tantanmen is topped with plant-based ground meat mixed with several seasonings, spices, and a generous sprinkle of chili oil.

Last but not least is an Aji Tamago which is a guiltless vegan rendition of a soft-boiled egg made of soy, potatoes, and tomatoes.

As of writing, the vegan specials are only available at Mendokoro Ramenba’s newly-opened branch in Mitsukoshi, BGC. —Hermes Tunac/JCB, GMA Integrated News
