Solenn Heussaff reminds her followers that social media is not reality

Kapuso star Solenn Heussaff wants you to know something: She's not perfect.

Though her life seems nothing but amazing on Instagram, the actor reminded her fans that a pretty picture is not the whole picture.

It's not surprising that people often leave "how to be you po" comments on her posts and this social media envy is something she wanted to address in the video she released in her YouTube channel.

"The thing is, people tend to forget that what you see online is not all real. Of course there's some reality but not everything is real because people just wanna share what's good," Solenn said.

"When they go abroad or travel, they tend to just try to curate all their feed, curate the photos, edit just on Photoshop or even on your phone alone. It is a countless number of apps that can help you get a thinner waist line, bigger eyes, a nicer smile," she continued.

To prove her point, Solenn went from being barefaced to wearing a full makeup. She covered the blemishes she had, accentuated certain features, wore false eyelashes, and added volume to her hair with extensions.

On top of all that, Solenn showed how easy it is to edit yourself even more with apps. You can have skinnier arms and that "glowing" skin instantly.

Solenn further noted that everyone has the right to feel beautiful and there's no shame in admitting that sometimes, it takes two hours of work to get there.

"The thing is guys, everyone's life is different and everyone's personality is different, so stop comparing yourself. Live life and be true to yourself and remember, always have fun," she concluded. — Aya Tantiangco, GMA News
