On Greenpeace Philippines' Instagram Stories, Ivan and Ashley emphasized the need to cut down on single-use plastic.

"A plastic straw or a plastic bottle, isang use lang yun, tapos tapon na," Ivan said.

"Siguro by starting with a simple one, [where] people can understand na, madali lang," Ashley added.

This is the second time the Rainbow Warrior Ship has visited the Philippines. It aims to advocate against single-use plastic.

In the last two years, Greenpeace has been holding coastal cleanups that serve as plastic audits. In 2017, it picked up over 50,000 pieces of single-use plastic in Freedom Island. In 2018, more than 180,000 pieces of plastic waste was picked up in Manila Bay.
