On Instagram the Kapuso journalist documented her experience, sharing how she cried because of exhaustion with 2km left, how hard she prayed, how seeing her husband at the finish line gave her the extra push she needed.

“Kaya pagtapak sa finish line, grabe iyak ko,” Kara wrote in one of her  posts.

2km before the finish line, umiiyak na ako sa pagod. Nagdasal ako sa Panginoon to please help me. Then suddenly nakita yung asawa ko @lmcancio sa sidelines cheering for me and motivating me to run. Nagkaroon ako ng lakas ng loob na tumakbo. Kaya pagtapak sa finish line, grabe iyak ko. Salamat mahal ko. Salamat po Panginoon. #ironman2019
