Jeepneys in Cavite and Albay show what their ‘new normal’ looks like

Is this the new normal for jeepneys?

In Cavite and Albay, some drivers put plastic covers inside their jeepneys to separate passengers from each other to follow social distancing protocols amid the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

YouScooper Racquel King took photos of what it looked like inside the “new normal” jeep in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The photos she took showed how each of the passengers’ seats had plastic covers both in front and on the sides.

King said there were no changes to fare charges in their area.

Meanwhile, YouScooper Romeo Amaranto posted photos of the “new normal” jeepney situation in Daraga, Albay, which almost had the same setup.
