WHO lists 3 places to avoid to prevent COVID-19 infection

There are certain places where COVID-19 spreads more easily and we should avoid these areas, according to the World Health Organization.

In a Facebook post on Friday, WHO Philippines enumerated these areas and called them the 3 Cs: crowded places with many people nearby; close-contact settings especially where people have close-range conversations; and confined and enclosed spaces with poor ventilation.

WHO said the risk went higher in places where these factors overlapped.

“Even as restrictions are lifted, consider where you are going and #StaySafe by avoiding the 3 Cs,” it said.

WHO advised the public to avoid crowded places, limit time in enclosed spaces, and maintain at least 1 meter distance from each other.

It also said windows and doors should be kept open if possible for ventilation.

People are also advised to keep their hands clean, cover their coughs and sneezes, and always wear mask when they go outside. – RC, GMA News
