How Andi Eigenmann organized ‘zero-waste’ birthday celebration for Baby Lilo

Andi Eigenmann was able to organize a simple, “zero-waste” celebration for her youngest child Lilo’s first birthday.

In her latest vlog, the actress explained how birthday celebrations don’t have to be wasteful and expensive, especially during the lockdown.

“We aren’t perfect, but we do try our best and that's also what we'd like to encourage you guys to do is to at least try, as well,” Andi said.

“Little acts of kindness to our environment will (definitely) go a long way,” she added.

The vlog featured a behind-the-scenes look at how they made a healthy "smash cake" and organized a stunning photoshoot safely inside their Manila home.

Andi had hired popular florist Gideon Hermosa to decorate their walls with a mix of fresh and dried flowers. The crew members of Nice Print meanwhile are seen wearing face masks and observing a distance.

Andi’s eldest daughter Ellie even helped with the baking and the decorating.

“We still want to make sure that the celebration will have as little waste as possible if we can achieve having zero waste here in Manila, we would definitely be so proud of ourselves because that's honestly something that we never really pressured ourselves to do when we’re here,” Andi said.

Andi has been trying to live more sustainably. Recently, she shared how her daughters have been swapping and reusing her old clothes.

Her loving ate Ellie is Andi’s daughter with former partner Jake Ejercito.
