AiAi delas Alas' husband Gerald Sibayan shares how he lost 80 lbs in a fitness vlog


AiAi delas Alas' husband Gerald Sibayan shared his weight loss journey, losing a whopping 80 lbs — from weight 250 lbs to just 170 lbs — in a fitness vlog.

In a video uploaded by Whey King Supplements Philippines and hosted by the first Filipino male CrossFit Games Athlete Justin Hernandez, Gerald shared what pushed him to start improving his overall fitness and health.

According to Gerald, he used to be part of the badminton national team but when he entered flying school, he started to gain weight as he overlooked his health and fitness.   

Gerald shared some of the bad habits he picked up like, eating fast food at midnight. He narrated how he learned he had high blood sugar and high blood pressure during one of their medical exams as a pilot.

When he finally decided to become healthier, he decided to build his home gym.

"Ako kasi may goal ako. Yung goal ko, bumaba yung weight ko, goal ko gumanda yung blood pressure ko lahat ng sa medical namin sa piloto, tsaka siyempre nagbago na rin ako," he said.

According to Gerald, nutrition is the most important aspect of his fitness journey.

"Ang nakakapag-motivate sa 'kin, ayoko nang bumalik sa pagiging unhealthy. Pero siyempre, subukan niyo muna. 'Wag kayo mag-doubt na mahirap yan. Subukan niyo muna kasi pag nakita niyo yung progress niyo, magtutuloy tuloy yan," he said.

Aside from fast and junk food, Gerald said he also gave up drinking soft drinks and alcohol.
