Bea Fabregas opens up about mental struggles amid pregnancy: 'It's been rough but I'm shaking it off'

Sports broadcaster Bea Fabregas opened up about her mental struggles amid the physical changes brought by pregnancy and how she fights through it.

In her Instagram stories on Wednesday, Bea shared how weighing herself was “something stupid” because seeing the number she last saw in 2012 “rocked [her] world.”

She added that she’s now putting more effort into doing push ups compared to when she could do 10 repetitions in 15 seconds.

“There’s so much I’m getting used to mentally and physically,” she wrote.

Despite recognizing how “wild” the physical changes in her body are, she clarified that she is “extremely happy” to be pregnant.

“Just wanted to share that as much as I love this journey I am on, I guess it’s completely natural to look at yourself and not recognize the person you see in the mirror.”

Bea also stated that she is still celebrating her small wins like still being able to do pushups at almost 15 weeks of being pregnant.

“I will rejoice in the fact that I am healthy enough to move and exercise. It’s been rough for me mentally the past few days but I’m shaking it off!!! I choose to be proud of myself.”

Towards the end of the story, though, Bea cleared that weighing oneself while pregnant is not “stupid” because it is necessary to monitor one’s body.

“You wanna watch out for gestational diabetes! But I was weighing myself ALL THE TIME, sit was messing with my head na!”

With this, she hopes that she’ll be able to “practice self control” and get guidance from her doctor.

Last week, Bea shared that she “never felt more of an athlete” now that she’s carrying her little one.
