Rocco Nacino to raise awareness on tuberculosis as new USAID #EndTB ambassador

Rocco Nacino is the newest #EndTB ambassador of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the Philippines.

On Thursday’s “24 Oras” report with Aubrey Carampel, Rocco said he was ready to take on the role given his experience as a nurse.

“Alam kong equipped ako [I know I’m equipped] with the correct knowledge to not treat [tuberculosis] but to prevent it,” he said.

The goal of the campaign is to make the Philippines free from tuberculosis and according to Rocco, this is essential while also battling COVID-19.

He is working hand-in-hand with fellow USAID #EndTB ambassador Alden Richards in educating the public about tuberculosis symptoms and how to access services in communities.
