Carlo Gonzales receives dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Carlo Gonzales has received a dose of the vaccine against COVID-19.

The actor shared the update on Instagram, Monday, with a video of himself getting the jab.

“The only way to kill the enemy that we can’t see is the vaccine,” he wrote in Filipino. “The brand isn’t important. As long as it’s approved by the government, that’s surely okay.”

“Let’s do this not just for ourselves, but also for our loved ones and the country,” he added.

Carlo said the pandemic has stayed long enough and he’s determined to contribute to its solution — by getting the vaccine once it’s available.

“It’s time to end the root cause of this prolonged pandemic,” he wrote in Filipino. “As of now, there’s no other way but the vaccine.”

Celebrities are considered priority workers under the A4 category, which the government has started giving jabs to earlier this month.

Apart from Carlo, those who have been vaccinated include Pia Wurtzbach, Barbie Forteza, Jak Roberto, Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. — Franchesca Viernes/LA, GMA News
