Kris Aquino reveals she weighs 85 lbs due to health issues, plans to go abroad this month for further treatment

Kris Aquino on Wednesday took to Instagram to share a health update revealing that she is set to go abroad this month to tackle her health issues.

On Instagram, Kris said she has finally done her first Xolair injection.

"1st Xolair injection was a success, meaning kinaya ko the full dose," she wrote in the caption sharing videos from when she got her first dose.

"For the privacy of my doctors let me say thank you using their 1st names: Dr. Hazel, Dr. Katcee, Dr. Nikki, and Dr. Cricket… nurse Eloi is back & nurse Bianca came para magbantay," she wrote.

Kris said her two closest friends were also present.

"Of course present my 2 closest friends hindi related by blood BUT i love like sisters, Anne Binay and Cong. Len Alonte.

"And katabi ko best sons ever kuya josh & bimb. Yes, that’s why May tita Ballsy, we were updating my Ate every step of the way," she added.

Kris said if all goes well she will be heading abroad for her next doses of Xolair and to deal with her other health issues.

"Thank you for your prayers- supposed to rest this week, then March 13 ang next shot- then after 5 days, praying nothing goes wrong, we finally go abroad & I continue my next doses of Xolair and finally tackle my autoimmune and other important health problems," she wrote.

Kris also revealed that she currently only weighs 85 lbs.

"P.S. nurse Eloi was giving me diphenhydramine shots for my chronic urticaria, last night. Sanay na ko. Kailangan talaga kasi," she wrote.

"Thank you for being part of my road to wellness & hopefully better quality of life journey w/ me," she ended her note.

According to Xolair's website, the injectable prescription medicine is used to treat "chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU, previously referred to as chronic idiopathic urticaria (CIU), chronic hives without a known cause) in people 12 years of age and older who continue to have hives that are not controlled with H1 antihistamine treatment."

Last year, Kris revealed that she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. She had since been sharing updates on her medical condition.

In February, Kris ruled out cancer and diabetes among her illnesses. —JAB, GMA News.
