Kakai Bautista to body shamers on swimsuit video: ‘Huwag pakialaman ang buhay ng mga hindi niyo pinapalamon’

Kakai Bautista has had enough of shamers commenting on her body in a recent video.

Early this month, the actress shared on Facebook a clip of her dancing by the beach while clad in a purple two-piece swimsuit.

As of writing, it has garnered over a million views and thousands of reactions and comments. While many of the comments expressed love and support for Kakai, some were negative remarks on her body, age, and weight.

On Sunday, the comedian commented on her post and called out the bashers.

“Nakakatawa ’yung mga nagco-comment na halos ka-age ko or mas matanda [nang] konti sa akin. Mga marites, ’wag niyo isisi sa akin ang mga bagay na hindi niyo kayang gawin in public,” she wrote on Facebook.

“Watch na lang. Kung ayaw, ’wag kayo dito. Simplehan natin ang buhay. Kung gusto, salamat. Try niyong ’wag pakialaman ang buhay ng mga hindi niyo naman pinapalamon, mas sasaya ang mga buhay niyo,” she said.

“Walang nagtatagumpay na nega [at] inggitera. Maniwala kayo sa akin. Enjoy lang ang buhay! Pa-end of the world na, ganyan pa din ang mga ugali,” she ended with a laugh.

This isn’t the first time Kakai called out haters for body shaming. Previously, she slammed this “toxic” culture among Filipinos. – Franchesca Viernes/RC, GMA News
