Bea Santiago has encouraging words of support for those going through a tough season

Miss International 2013 Bea Santiago has encouraging words of support for "those going through a tough season."

Posting a glam photo of herself with her dialysis patch visible, the beauty queen said, “If you want light to come into your life, stand where it is shining.”

"You are braver than you believe and stronger than you think! Kaya natin to!" She added.

Bea's message of support comes a day after she underwent a successful kidney transplant some four years after she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and began waiting for it. Her brother was her donor.

In 2020, the beauty queen revealed she had been undergoing dialysis five days a week.

In her post Friday, Bea admitted the procedure took a massive toll on her body and spirit.

"Being on dialysis was tough," she began. "It almost broke my mind spirit and body (literally sooo weak)," Bea added.

But as she advised, she stood were it was shining — and she pulled through!
