New skills you can learn on YouTube (and maybe make money with in the future)
Though cat videos will always be dear to us (and always be on our tabs), these days we're learning there's more to YouTube than cool cat videos.
We mean: videos from which we can learn new skills that we can possibly turn into a racket that can bring in extra cashola. Who doesn't like extra cash, no?
Below, we compile a few skills you can learn just by watching videos and corresponding YouTube channels, as well.
1. Learn how to make smarter money decisions. Ha! Of course this is first on our list. Pinoy Money Academy is a channel by former college instructor J3 Patiño where he gives tips to viewers on investing in the stock market or trying their hands at entrepreneurship. A few videos that caught our eye: on investing in mutual funds, 7 must-haves before investing in the stock market, and the forgotten laws of saving money.
2. Learn to code and create apps. As technology continue to develop, you might want to pick up the pace. Perhaps learn coding? It is slowly becoming a useful and profitable skill.
Check out conjuries, IT professional Juries Manalac's YouTube channel. He has over a dozen of video tutorials on programming. The first video on his playlist is about the widely used computer language.

3. Enrich your culinary skills. Cooking is an essential life skill we all need to learn. We mean: if you can't make money off cooking, at least be able to feed yourself, right? Start watching cooking videos and perhaps it will inspire you to live your Barefoot Contessa dreams, too.
Panlasang Pinoy is a YouTube channel owned by Filipino Vanjo Merano. He is an Information Technology professional working in the United States who loves "the Filipino way of cooking" he decided to become a vlogger cooking Pinoy food. His video on seafood pancit canton got over 17,000 videos.
4. Step up your language game
Watching K-drama makes us want to pack our bags, fly to South Korea and throw finger hearts to our oppas right away. Easy to say, hard to do — especially if you don't speak Korean. Lucky for us, Ana Park has got our backs. Her channel Buhay Korea is helpful for people who want to learn Korean and be familiar with Korea.
Ana has been living in Seoul since 2003. In her channel, she features snippets of Korean life as well as basic Korean tutorials. Learn the language and who knows? You might just be able to earn extra buckaroos as a translator.
5.Learn how to draw that perfect kilay
Because kilay is life, you might want to learn how to blend, blend, blend by watching makeup tutorials. If you feel alone, you can go ahead and watch your favorite beauty guru's "Get Ready with Me" video so you'll never have to slay your eyeliner alone ever again.
Learn how to paint your face a fierce look by subscribing to Raiza Contawi's channel or if you want a softer, everyday look, pay Say Tioco's channel a visit. These Filipina beauty guru's punchlines during tutorials will surely make your day.
