A fan wore a wedding gown to EXO’s 2nd night in Manila, her friend came as Belle
On EXO’s 2nd night in Manila, the fans were as much the headline as the K-pop group.

Apart from the screaming (which started even before the show) and the glow sticks and the sing-alongs, there was the fan-initiated project of color-coordinating the Mall of Asia Arena according to the colors of the Philippine flag — which the band’s management, the venue, and the concert producers approved.
And then there were the sprinkling of costumes.
Meet Shey Barrios, the EXO fan who wore a wedding gown. According to the 22-year-old, she really “wanted to be noticed by the band, specifically by Kai. Siya po ang bias ko,” Shey tells GMA News Online on the phone.

When the ticketing staff mistakenly punched Row C instead of Row A — both in the P13,000++-VIP section — she knew she had to wear something different to get noticed.
Initially, she thought of just renting a wedding dress, but it proved to be a hassle. So a week before the concert, Shey went to Divisoria and bought one for P2,000.
Her friend, Maje Constantino meanwhile rented a Belle gown for P2,500. According to Maje, she wanted to come in a yellow dress because yellow was the favorite color of Baekhyun.
“Inisip ko yung Belle gown na lang para paandar talaga. Nag-post ako sa Twitter asking where I could rent a one, and may sumagot naman,” Maje says.
One week before the concert, she trekked from Laguna to Paranaque to claim the gown.
On the eve of the concert, the friends rented a condo unit right near the venue, where they could all get ready and pre-game.

But here’s the thing: The VIP section, where they were seated, was assigned the color blue.
Shey was worried that she and Maje would get negative reactions from the community, so they brought back-ups: Shey brought a blue bouquet and wore a blue shawl. Maje had a blue jacket.
Their worry proved unnecessary. On the day of the concert, the entire arena — even security — was buzzing with good energy.
“Supportive po yung mga guards. Tinatanong nila ako kung nasaan yung marriage contract ko. Kino-congratulate nila ako,” Shey narrated joyfully.
According to the 22-year-old fan, their efforts were not for naught. "My friend got a flying kiss from Suho, and Baekhyun and Jongdae were smiling and laughing at me when they saw my gown," Shey said.
“These are just small efforts to give back to EXO. Sobrang inspiration po kasi sila sa amin,” she continues. “I just want to make them happy by showing them that their fans are willing to go the extra mile to show them love.” — LA, GMA News
