Vickie Rushton completes TESDA online courses amid quarantine

Beauty queen Vickie Rushton has put her time to good use amid the enhanced community quarantine.

The Bb. Pilipinas hopeful signed up for the TESDA Online Program (TOP) and took courses under agriculture, entrepreneurship, and 21st Century Skills.

In her Instagram account, Vickie shared her notes, certificate of completion, and instructions for those who wish to enroll in the program.

"Earlier today, I finished my third online course. It feels so good to do something productive while on quarantine," she said.

Vickie, who loves gardening, said the topics discussed are "useful and timely."

"It broadened my knowledge about growing plants and the importance of having a sustainable garden or 'survival garden' in our backyards," she said.

The government has encouraged Filipinos, especially those in the cities, to plant vegetables to ensure food sufficiency. They also give away seeds and seedlings.

Aside from agriculture, TOP offers 68 online courses on electrical and electronics, tourism,  food processing, health care, and many others.

Tuition is free and face-to-face assessment is available after course completion, according to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
