Donald Glover to reunite with 'Community' cast for virtual table read

The cast of "Community" is reuniting for a virtual table read to help raise money for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) relief efforts.

According to a report by Variety, Donald Glover who departed from the show in its 5th season is set to join his former castmates Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, and Ken Jeong for the table read.

The table read will be aired on Sony Pictures TV’s "Community" YouTube page on May 18, Monday at 2 p.m. (Pacific Time).

Proceeds are expected to go to the charities José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and Frontline Foods which are both involved in COVID-19 relief efforts that would provide meals for frontliners and vulnerable communities.

Community, which ran for 6 seasons between 2009 to 2015, is a critically-acclaimed sitcom about former lawyer Jeff Winger (McHale) who joins an interesting group of people at a community college in Colorado.

Glover, who played former highschool quarterback Troy Barnes for five seasons, also has a successful career in music under the name Childish Gambino.
