A real-life couple gets married on 'Animal Crossing' amid quarantine

Not even the quarantine due to the pandemic can stop real-life couple Vincent and Klarisse from tying the knot. They two just got married on..."Animal Crossing."

Since mass gatherings are still prohibited under the modified enhanced community quarantine, the couple decided to do an in-game wedding, with their friends in attendance on the game, as well.

The photos they shared showed a garden set-up wedding with Vince's avatar dressed in a formal long sleeves and vest while Klarisse's character wore a white dress and a tiara.

Because the possibilities are endless in the Nintendo Switch game, "Animal Crossing" has become a crowd favorite during lockdown with netizens using it as an escape to get away from the quarantine blues.

In the game, your avatar can freely go fishing, do gardening, hunt for fossils, catch bugs, construct furniture, decorate your house, and customize outfits.

And unlike the new normal, the game will also allow you to socialize with your neighbors.

Metro Manila has been placed under the MECQ and under its guidelines, mass gatherings including weddings are not allowed. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
