'Hairspray Live!' to stream for free this weekend

Got any weekend plans? You can always stream "Hairspray Live!" on YouTube.

According to Playbill, the musical will be available for free for only 48 hours, starting early Saturday (Philippine time), on The Shows Must Go On YouTube channel.

The show stars Maddie Baillio, Jennifer Hudson, Ariana Grande, Kristin Chenoweth, Billy Eichner, and Dove Cameron.

"Hairspray Live!" is the 2016 television adaptation of 1988 film of the same name. It tells the story of talented teenager Tracy Turnblad who joins a dance television show called The Corny Collins Show.

The Broadway production opened in 2002, and in 2007, a film adaptation was released with Zac Efron and Nikki Blonsky in the main cast.

For the past weeks, The Shows Must Go On has streamed full-length musicals including "Phantom of the Opera" and "Cats."
