BTS has released a music video for its 7th anniversary, and it’s giving its Army all the feels.

The South Korean supergroup shared on its official accounts the video for its anthemic “We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal,” a song that recalled their hardships and triumphs in the past seven years and how their fans, the BTS Army, had been with them all the way.

The animated video recreated scenes from BTS’s previous music videos, performances, and other memorable appearances.

“We had nothing but dreams,” sang the group. “We stayed up all night to dance and sing; the endless music sheets.”

In the song, the members shared how they took pride in their name, despite the tirades once hurled at them. “The name that everyone laughed at, that was once embarrassing, this is the iron proof—‘bullet proof.’”

The lyrics referred to the group’s name—Bangtan Sonyeondan or BTS—which meant “Bulletproof Boy Scouts.”

, J-Hope said, “‘Bangtan’ means to be resistant to bullets, so it means to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets, to preserve the values and ideal of today’s adolescents.”

“We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal” also paid tribute to BTS’s devoted Army: “We were only seven, but we have you all now,” its lyrics said. “Yeah we are not seven with you.”

The publication Koreaboo identified some of the video’s references to past works and the outfits worn by the members.

The song is the latest single off the chart-topping and best-selling “Map of the Soul: 7,” BTS’s fourth studio album, which was released Feb. 21.

The music video is part of BTS Festa, a yearly celebration marked by the release of new performances, songs, videos, and other content in the span of two weeks leading to the group’s debut anniversary on June 13.

This year’s Festa so far included a fun video of the members singing “Airplane Pt. 2” by the pool; family portrait photos; choreography videos for their performances of “Dionysus” at “Speak Yourself: The Final” tour in 2019 and “Fake Love” at Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2018; photo collections from 2019 onwards; profiles, a slum book-type questionnaire that each of them answered for another member; Q&A videos; members performing each other’s solos and unit songs at a karaoke; and “Still With You,” Jung Kook’s highly awaited first solo single. – GMA News
