'Food Wars' Season 5 releases teaser after COVID-19 halts airing

The fifth season of popular anime show "Food Wars!" is set to return on air after being halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ahead of its July 3 return, "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma: The Fifth Plate" released a teaser video that show bits of the upcoming episodes.

The fifth season has already aired until the second episode in Japan and on Crunchyroll.

Seasons 1 to 3 of the anime series is currently streaming on Netflix.

"Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma" is based on the manga with the same name written by Y?to Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki. It follows Soma Yukihira as he follows his dream to become a chef, enrolling in an elite culinary school after his family's restaurant closes.

Shonen Jump has just released the manga's final volume.
