These mesmerizing pictures were shot using only a cellphone and DIY lens

For the record, these are not high resolution images.

Youscooper Don Ray Marzan only used his phone camera and some DIY camera lens to capture these mesmerizing images of insects up close.

According to Marzan, he's always loved photography and considers it a stress reliever. The lockdown gave him enough time to tinker with his old gadgets — his binoculars, to be specific — to make a DIY camera lens.

In taking these photos, he supplemented his Huawei Nova 3i with the DIY camera lens from his binoculars. The results are nothing short of incredible.

Perhaps he'd consider entering photography contests. Who knows? He could win major bucks, much like this Filipina who won P50K for her cool shot of ants drinking from a droplet of water. — LA, GMA News
