'John Wick' 5 in the works, to be shot back-to-back with 'John Wick' 4

"John Wick" 4 isn't even here yet, but we already have "John Wick" 5 to look forward to!

According to reports, Lionsgate CEO John Feltheimer confirmed that a fifth film is in the works and that they plan to shoot it back-to-back with "John Wick" 4.

"We’re also busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theatres Memorial Day weekend 2022. We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 and 5 back to back when Keanu becomes available early next year," Feltheimer said in the studio's earnings call.

The fourth installment of the popular "John Wick" franchise was initially set on May 21, 2021, a day that had been dubbed as "Keanu Reeves day" because it coincided with the release of "The Matrix 4."

However, the coronavirus pandemic shut down production, causing "John Wick" 4 to be delayed to 2022.

Keanu Reeves is reportedly filming "The Matrix 4."
