Mariah Carey is doing an ‘innovative’ Christmas special with AppleTV+

Mariah Carey and Apple TV+ are brewing something special for the holidays!

In her latest IG post, the "All I Want for Christmas" singer confirmed reports that she has partnered with the streaming giant for “Mariah Carey's Magical Christmas Special."

"If you know me, you know I refuse to talk about Christmas before it's even fall, but I am SO excited for this @appletv special that I'll make an exception today only!" Carey wrote.

Billboard described the event as "innovative" holiday event featuring music, dancing and animation “driven by a universally heartwarming story that brings the world together.”

Surprise celebrity guests and songs from Mariah Carey’s best-selling holiday album, “Merry Christmas,” are also to be expected.

Last Christmas, the pop superstar's iconic 1994 carol "All I Want for Christmas Is You" topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time since its release.

Mariah appeared on an Amazon special that zoomed into the making of the holiday classic called "Mariah Carey is Christmas: The Story of 'All I Want for Christmas is You."

The singer is also expected to release her memoir, "The Meaning of Mariah Carey," this September.
