3 mobile home ideas for Filipinos who want that comfy life on the road

Have you ever heard of travelling in the safety of your own home?

"Unang Hirit" featured some creative Filipinos who've created their own mobile homes and have been living their dream lives on the road.

A US-based firefighter, Savio Ilagan, drives across the states in an old school bus that he converted into a comfy home on wheels.

With his own kitchen, shower and two-level bunk bed, the OFW can now fulfill his travel goals safely despite the pandemic.

"Matagal ko na po kasing gustong magtravel eh, habang nabubuhay ng simple at yung pakiramdam na free ka," Savio told GMA News Online.

Meanwhile, back in the Philippines, a freelance makeup artist named Phoebe Leonor has been living a thrifty and sustainable lifestyle thanks to her beautiful van turned-home she's named "Choice."

Phoebe can get her work done no problem with solar power, and she's well-equipped with a small kitchen area next to a lounge area that doubles as a storage unit.

The van life has also been a huge help to single mom Katrina Quisil, who works as a pharmacist by day and BPO agent by night.

The best part about Quisil's mobile home is that she can have a super-accessible place to rest after work, and she can also use it to take her kids out on weekends. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
