Mimiyuuuh has an uplifting and relatable message to 20-somethings who feel pressured to be successful

For her latest vlog episode, your girl Mimiyuuuh just got real and shared an uplifting and relatable message to 20-somethings who might be feeling pressured to become successful as soon as possible.

While wearing matching dinosaur onesie and earrings, Mimiyuuuh voiced out her advice to her fellow youth who are feeling lost with their own career path.

“I know some of you all are pressured and questioning themselves,” the 23-year-old vlogger said.

“You see other people living the life you want to live, flexing the thing, flexing the bags, flexing the cars, flexing them shoes, flexing them legs, and you start questioning yourself what am I doing with my life?” she added.

She said what’s important is to “keep building yourself at 20s, don’t stop learning, don’t stop experiencing life, don’t stop struggling because it’s part of growing up.”

Mimiyuuuh also told people her age that they “don’t need to be working on your dream job ASAP ’cause look at me, gusto ko po talaga mag-fashion designer but I am here.”

The vlogger said she knew some 20-somethings who wanted to resign from their jobs.

“I feel you na gusto mo na mag-resign dahil urat na urat ka na sa trabaho mo opo kasi nga hindi mo naman talaga gusto pero hindi mo magawa because this job pays the bill and that’s OK,” she said.

“Sometimes hindi mo naman talaga kasalanan na nauurat ka sa trabaho mo, minsan kasalanan ng employer ’yan o sadyang nasa Pilipinas ka lang,” she added.

Mimiyuuuh continued and said the Philippines had a tiresome work ethic system and some people didn’t get compensated well.

“’Yung work ethic po talaga dito sa Pilipinas sobrang nakakapagod po naman talaga. Imagine working other jobs na hindi naman talaga kasama sa job description and ’yung pay mo talaga hindi niya nabibigyan ng justice yung pagod mo,” she said.

Despite this, Mimiyuuuh reminded the youth that each person had their “own path to success.”

“Maaring sinwerte siya kaya napadali. ’Yung iba sobrang nahihirapan. You just need to focus on your own path. Don’t be hard on yourself finding the finish line of your own path,” she said.

However, Mimiyuuuh also reminded the youth to not take it too easy either, work on reaching their full potential, and take risks.

She said being in one’s 20s is the best time to take risks because people their age had the energy and flexibility to adapt to situations.

“If you have potential, don’t let that potential go to waste because you [are] not a trash,” she said.

Mimiyuuuh said one of the problems the youth faced is comparing their lives to other people’s based on what they see on social media.

“Never ever compare your life to others. That is the No. 1 problem na nae-encounter ng mga kabataan ngayon. It’s social media,” she said.

“Life is unfair but that doesn’t mean hindi mo maabot ’yung mga gusto mong maabot in life just because you’re left behind,” she added.

She also reminded that taking a break is also important. “It’s okay to take a rest,” said Mimiyuuh.

“Rest, recovery [and] reflection is a big part of having a successful and happy life,” she added.
