A Bonsai LEGO tree, anyone? The toy company unveils 'botanical collection' for plantitos and plantitas everywhere

Get ready to take your plant collection to a whole new level as LEGO unveils its "Botanical Collection."

The decorative new collection includes a beautiful Flower Bouquet and a Bonsai Tree set and has elements made from "plant-based plastic, produced using sustainably sourced sugarcane."

According to the Danish toymaking giant, the 756-piece Flower Bouquet building set includes snapdragons, roses, poppies, asters, daisies and different grasses made with LEGO elements that recreate colorful petal shapes.

Designed to be over 14 inches high, the model also has stems that are adjustable to tailor any vase you wish to put the bouquet in.

Meanwhile, the 878-piece Bonsai Tree building kit, which can stand at 7 inches high and includes a rectangular pot and a slatted stand, can be decorated with either green leaves or pink cherry blossoms.

"While many people seek out green spaces to destress and relax, adults can now bring a touch of nature into their home and unwind as they create and customise their botanical builds," LEGO said in a statement. "And the great news is that LEGO plants don’t need to be watered to stay fresh."

LEGO Group's Design Lead Jamie Berard added, "The customisable elements and mindful building experience will hopefully help express their personality as their creativity blossoms."

The LEGO Flower Bouquet and Bonsai Tree are both priced at P3,499.75 and will be available starting January 4, 2021 in certified LEGO stores and major retailers in the country.

Back in March, the Danish company announced their plan to make their iconic plastic bricks be 100% sustainable by 2030.
