Hugh Grant to play the villain in 'Dungeons and Dragons' film adaptation -report

In case you missed it, the popular game franchise "Dungeons and Dragons" is getting a film adaptation. And joining the cast is Hugh Grant!

According to Deadline, the actor is set to play the antagonist.

Along with Grant, the latest to join the cast is "It" star Sophia Lillis.

The film also stars Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith and "Bridgerton" star Rege-Jean Page, the report added.

Grant is known known for his iconic roles in "Four Weddings and a Funeral" (1994), "Notting Hill" (1999), and "Love Actually" (2003). He also recently starred in HBO series "The Undoing," which earned him Golden Globe and SAG nominations.

Fantasy game Dungeons and Dragons was first published by Wizards of the Coast in 1997. It remains to be one of the best-known role-playing games in the US. —JCB, GMA News
