Tom Holland, George Clooney, other stars do their rendition of ‘Dynamite’ by BTS

Some of the biggest names in Hollywood did a rendition of one of the biggest pop songs in recent history—“Dynamite” by BTS.

On Friday, W Magazine shared a video of celebrities including Tom Holland, George Clooney, Jared Leto, Steven Yeun, Jacob Elordi, Tessa Thompson, and more singing and reciting the lyrics to the South Korean band’s No. 1 hit.

The 3-minute black-and-white video was part of W Magazine’s “Lyrical Improv” series directed by journalist Lynn Hirschberg.

“In 2020, the superstar K-pop band BTS broke seven Guinness World Records with their song ‘Dynamite’: it became the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, got 7,778,950 streams within a day (and subsequently nabbed the title for the biggest Spotify release of 2020), and spent the most weeks at no. 1 for Billboard’s Social 50 chart,” said the description on the YouTube video.

“We at W were inspired by the impact BTS—and its fandom, known as the Army—made, not just in the realm of music, but for the culture at large, and chose their song ‘Dynamite’ for our annual round of Lyrical Improv.”

Two weeks ago, W Magazine also released the full version of George Clooney’s “deeply poetic” reading of the Grammy-nominated song.
