Blackpink member Rosé has finally launched her own YouTube channel!

In her first video uploaded on Thursday, she shared glimpses of her childhood with clips dating from 2005, and how she got her name.

According to Rosé, she was born in New Zealand and needed an English name. So her parents bought a name book, where they chanced upon “Roseanne.”

The K-Pop idol also shared video clips of herself dancing, talking in front of the camera, and giving a tour of their home in Australia.

“I remember it being a nice, cozy house just perfect for the four of us,” she said.

Rosé also recalled playing the piano right after naps, which she said helped mold her into who she is now.

“I enjoyed playing it so much. I think that’s when I started to grow my love for music.”

As a child, she said she dreamt of becoming like Beyonce or Michael Jackson, but these days, she just wanted to be “happy with a strong mind and heart.”

The singer also said that over the years, she had realized the importance of sharing her life with others in order to create music that they could relate to.

On March 12, Rosé released her debut album “R,” which features the song “On The Ground.”

According to the singer, the track is about a girl who works hard to reach her dreams.

“The message I want to convey to the audience listening to this song is that maybe what we’re chasing for isn’t necessarily up there at the top,” she said.

“Maybe what we truly need is already in our hands, right here on the ground.”

As of writing, the video has more than a million views, while her channel has over 600,000 subscribers.

Rosé is the second Blackpink member to make a solo debut after Jennie released “Solo” in 2018.

Jennie also launched her own YouTube channel in January. – RC, GMA News
