Netflix unveils new poster for 'Yasuke,' teaser video for 'Eden'

It's going to be an exciting year for anime fans.

Netflix went hard on its anime lineup this year, and just today, the streaming giant treated fans with new promotional materials for its upcoming shows.

During the Anime Japan 2021, Netflix unveiled a fresh new poster for "Yasuke" illustrated by Takeshi Koike.

"Yasuke" takes place in war-torn feudal Japan. The greatest ronin ever known, Yasuke, struggles to maintain a peaceful existence after a past life of violence.

But when a local village becomes the center of social upheaval between warring daimyo, Yasuke must take up his sword and transport a mysterious child who is the target of dark forces and bloodthirsty warlords.

Netflix also dropped a teaser for "Eden," a sci-fi anime set thousands of years into the future where the world is run by Artificially Intelligent robots.

On a routine assignment, within the depths of the city called Eden, two maintenance robots accidentally awaken a human baby girl from stasis questioning all they were taught to believe — that humans were nothing more than a forbidden ancient myth. Together, the two robots secretly raise the child in a safe haven outside Eden.

"Yasuke" is premiering on April 29, while "Eden" is set to premiere on May 27. —JCB, GMA News
