Red Velvet's Wendy makes solo debut with 'Like Water' mini album

Red Velvet's Wendy has officially made her solo debut with the release of her "Like Water" mini album.

Released on Monday, "Like Water" has five songs including "Best Friend," which features fellow Red Velvet member Seulgi.

According to the group's Twitter account, the song is a message of hope and gratitude as Wendy marks the new chapter in her life.

As of writing, the music video has more than 200,000 views. Wendy also took social media by storm as #TodayIs_WendySolo tops Twitter's trending topics with 113,000 tweets.

"Like Water out now" and #RedVelvet are also trending with over 113,000 and 241,000 tweets, respectively.

This is Wendy's first major comeback after being injured in December 2019, resulting in a long break from activities.

She is the first to make a solo debut among the five members of Red Velvet. The group debuted in 2014.
