In a recent episode of the popular talent show, Simon Cowell pulled a prank on fellow judge Sofia Vergara and it left everyone stunned.

Sofia had previously said that what she loved about the show was that "you don’t know what's going to happen."

"At one moment somebody’s gonna fall, somebody’s gonna get burned, somebody’s gonna get shot, something horrific is going to happen, and that’s what I love about this show," she said.

Clearly, Simon was all too willing to indulge her, going as far as to tap two former contestants who specialize in a comedy danger act: Ryan Stock and Amberlynn Walker.

"I am so excited," Simon told them in a behind-the-scenes clip. "They have no idea what we're going to do."

When it was time for the show, the pair walked onstage to supposedly present their act to the judges.

Their new "crossbow act" involved a person holding a balloon in their mouth while another shoots it with a crossbow while blindfolded.

After cleanly performing the stunt, Ryan and Amberlynn called on Simon and Sofia to help them with the next one.

Simon stood under the balloon while Sofia was blindfolded and asked to shoot the crossbow while wearing a blindfold.

It was then that the prank was executed, with people attaching a fake crossbow on Simon's torso, making it seem as if he'd been shot.

By the time Sofia was asked to shoot the crossbow, Simon was already on the floor. Everyone started exclaiming in horror when the unloaded crossbow was fired, and Sofia panicked and removed the blindfold.

After beckoning her closer, Simon told her, "I got you!"

Sofia only said, "You know I'm Colombian and you know we take revenge."
