2PM’s Junho to play royal character in upcoming historical drama

Junho of the K-Pop group 2PM will be starring in an upcoming historical drama.

According to a Soompi report, “The Red Sleeve Cuff” (literal title) follows the romance between a court lady who wants to protect the life she has chosen and an emperor who puts the nation first before love.

The series is based on the Korean novel of the same name.

Junho will play Yi San, a direct descendant and eldest grandson of the king.

South Korean network MBC has released stills from the drama, giving fans a first look at the singer-actor in traditional royal garments.

“The Red Sleeve Cuff” is reported to premiere in November.
