Netizens think Slater Young resembles Lee Jung Jae on ‘Squid Game’

Amid the hype brought by “Squid Game,” some viewers have noticed that Slater Young looks like the character played by Lee Jung Jae.

The Filipino celebrity recently shared a photo of himself smiling beside the TV, which showed a scene in the series where the lead character Seong Gi Hun was also smiling for the camera.

“Thank you so much for supporting Squid Game! Trending tayo guys (we’re trending),” he wrote on Instagram.

As of writing, the photo has attracted thousands of reactions and comments from fans who have noticed their resemblance.

“Ito talaga naisip ko una pa lang,” one wrote with a series of laughing emojis. “Long lost brother,” said another.

Some fans even took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the idea that they now “can’t unsee.”

“Grabe, ang galing ni Slater Young sa Squid Game,” one tweeted.

“Si Slater Young talaga yung bida sa Squid Game,” said another.

The South Korean series “Squid Game” follows the story of 456 participants who are playing deadly children’s games and fighting for a cash prize amounting to 45.6 billion won.

Also starring Jung Ho Yeon, Park Hae Soo, Heo Sung Tae, and Wi Ha Jun, all nine episodes of the series are now streaming on Netflix.
