'The Walking Dead' is getting a spinoff series in 2022

More "The Walking Dead" content? Yes, please.

Luckily, the show is getting a spinoff titled "Tales of the Walking Dead," set for 2022.

According to Insider, it will be an anthology spinoff with six episodes for the first season. Each standalone episode will run for an hour and will focus on old characters from the original series and introduce new ones.

"The Walking Dead" writer and producer Channing Powell will serve as showrunner, the report said.

"I started as a fan of 'The Walking Dead' and have ended up as a showrunner of what will hopefully be one of its most unique spin-offs," Powell was quoted as saying.

"The Walking Dead," a series based on the comic book of the same name, follows a group of survivors in a zombie-ridden post-apocalyptic world. It first aired in 2010. —JCB, GMA News
