Over 700 schools nationwide receive 60K bags with school supplies from GMA Kapuso Foundation

Over 700 schools from 27 areas in the Philippines received a minimum of 60,000 bags filled with school supplies from GMA Kapuso Foundation.

According to a “24 Oras” report, Thursday, also included in the bag were hygiene kits and face masks to help the beneficiaries stay protected as some schools start conducting pilot face-to-face classes.

Among the recipients were students who just used whatever materials they could find at home because they lacked resources for new school supplies.

Some of the items they used to recycle were calendars, an old blackboard, and charcoal and rocks that served as writing materials.

The gifts were part of the foundation’s “Unang Hakbang sa Kinabukasan” project. Included in the areas that received the presents were Lanao del Sur, Sulu, Basilan, Catanduanes, Laguna, La Union, and NCR.

The GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, PayMaya, GCash, Shopee, Zalora, Mega Mart, Globe Rewards, and Metrobank credit card.
