Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee confirmed to star in new thriller drama

K-drama fans are in for a treat as Korean stars Park Seo Joon and Han So Hee are set to headline a new drama together!

According to a Soompi report, Seo Joon and So Hee have been confirmed to star in "Gyeongseong Creature."

The upcoming drama announced the news on Thursday, sharing that the two actors will star as its main leads and that filming has officially started.

Set in 1945, "Gyeongseong Creature" is a thriller series about two individuals who face against a creature and fight for survival.

Seo Joon, known for his roles in "Itaewon Class" and "Fight For My Way," is set to play Jang Tae Sang, a wealthy man who knows how to get by in the world.

So Hee, who rose to stardom with her series "My Name" and "Nevertheless," will play the role of Yoo Chae Ok, a woman skilled with guns and knives and is tasked to search for missing people.

Chae Ok finds herself going to Gyeongseong, Seoul's name during the Japanese colonial rule, to track down her mother who disappeared 10 years ago. However, she ends up meeting Tae Sang.

Their meeting changes Tae Sang's perspective and he soon faces what he has hidden away in his heart. Meanwhile, while Chae Ok chases down a mysterious case of disappearances, she encounters a horrifying reality.

“I am very interested in the historical backdrop of Gyeongseong," Seo Joon was quoted as saying. "I found a project with that setting, and I am excited and happy to work with an incredible writer, director, and staff members. I will now work hard to portray Jang Tae Sang as an actor.”

Meanwhile, So Hee said, “I am honored to show a new side of myself through ‘Gyeongseong Creature,’ which is filled with diverse and various stories like Chae Ok who appears tough on the outside but has a warm heart. In order to live up to the great expectations and interest, I will work hard to impress by preparing more diligently.”

“Gyeongseong Creature," penned by "Dr. Romantic" writer Kang Eun Kyung, will be helmed by "Stove League" director Jung Dong Yoon.
