Indian ‘Forrest Gump’ remake ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ unveils trailer

The Indian remake of “Forrest Gump” is here!

In the trailer, “Laal Singh Chaddha” played by Aamir Khan goes through life with so much determination amid challenges from childhood.

“Do we have any control over what happens in life? Or are we just blown around in the wind from here to there?” he could be heard saying at the start of the clip.

Despite Laal’s disability, his mom’s love and support help him go further with the belief that he is no different from other children. “Run, Laal, run,” as she used to say.

“Laal Singh Chaddha” is the Indian remake of the 1994 hit film “Forrest Gump,” which stars Tom Hanks.

Directed by Advait Chandan, “Laal Singh Chaddha” premieres in theaters Aug. 11.
